Enhancing Technological Competence in the Process of Scholarly Publishing

Authors: Cezary Rosiński, Barbara Wachek, Nikodem Wołczuk – Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The training materials presented here are intended primarily for staff of academic publishing houses, regardless of their level of proficiency in using tools that support the publishing process. They outline the potential for automating certain stages of editorial work.

These materials were developed as part of the CRAFT-OA project (Creating a Robust Accessible Federated Technology for Open Access), which is funded by the Horizon 2020 programme.

How to use these materials

This set is tailored to the needs of editorial teams using both specialised publishing platforms (e.g. OJS) and basic tools. We recommend completing the training by following one of the learning pathways we have proposed, which you can select on the next page: Four pathways based on proficiency in the publishing process. Each path includes content adapted to the individual needs and skill levels of participants, as well as shared materials that are universal across all pathways.
